When steel is cut by a grinding wheel, the sparks produced by the abrasive process stick to steel covers near to them and build up. This creates problems when these parts have to move, etc. To avoid that I was thinking to put in the area where the “build up” happens a ceramic plate (e.g. 100x100mm) where the sparks can not stick onto the wall and fall down right away.
